Hurricane Charlie swept the eastcoast earlier this summer. The energy of the storm was palpable, according to beachgoers and fellow houseguests. The whole family enjoyed a nice week in Oak Island, NC. There were beach days and clambakes and music-filled nights. I learned how to surf and how to read novels on the beach. The highlight was spending time with my cousins and my Aunt Juice and D. Of course, I loved all of the adults that were there too. On vacation adults seem more like kids!
